Jada Lewis

Honors Program Student Assistant

Jada Lewis is the Honors Program student assistant. She assists the Honors advisors with various tasks and at times is found at the front desk answering phone calls, receiving and resolving queries and scheduling advising appointments.

Expecting to graduate May 2021, Jada is pursuing a public relations major and a minor in leadership. She currently serves as the curator for TEDxUF and the external services director for the Black Public Relations Student Society. She is an international student from Jamaica and keeps connected to her culture as a general body member of the Jamaican-American Student Association.

Post-graduation, Jada hopes to couple her passion for communications with her appreciation for the arts, culture and social causes to work for an international development agency or within the corporate social responsibility division of a private sector firm.

Outside the Honors Program, Jada dedicates her free time to forming positive mental and physical self-care habits. She enjoys dancing, reading and exploring the Gainesville food scene with friends to de-stress.
