(Note: Visitation Day is an invitation-only event. Please do not register if you did not recieve an invitation in the mail.)

Thank you for your interest in the University of Florida Honors Program. We are very excited to welcome you to the University of Florida. The University of Florida Honors Program may well be UF’s best-kept secret. With individualized advising, small class sizes, top-notch professors and the Honors Residential College at Hume Hall, the Honors Program offers the community of a smaller school amidst the opportunities and resources of a large research institution. We have planned an exciting and informative Open House as an opportunity for you and your family to meet with honors students, advisors, and faculty. Events include student forums, academic information sessions, a tour of the Hume Honors Residential College, and other activities that highlight the benefits of the Honors Program at the University of Florida.

Use the form below to register for Visitation Day 2008. It costs nothing to attend, but space is limited, so it is important you register as soon as possible. Please use the prospective student's first and last name when registering. If you are registering more than one student, please fill out the form separately for each. Include addtional people (parents and guests) on only one of the registration forms.

Please select two different focus areas to attend from the drop down menus. Each session will last approximately 30 minutes.

Due to space limitations we ask that you limit your party to one student and two guests. Do not include the registering student in the count for guests.

Driving directions are available here. When packing, remember to bring your curiosity and lunch money -- we will provide everything else.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

9:00 am - Abbreviated Campus Tour and 2nd Registration Period
10:45 am - Welcome and Introductions
11:15 am - Academic Session I
11:45 am - Honors Opportunities
12:15 pm - Blue Lunch / Orange Hume Honors Dorm Tour
1:05 pm - Orange Lunch / Blue Hume Honors Dorm Tour
2:00 pm - Academic Session II
2:30 pm - Parent/Student Panels
3:00 pm - Visitation Day Conclusion

Disclaimer: While we are very excited to introduce you to the University of Florida and the Honors Program, Visitation Day attendance does not guarantee admission to either the University of Florida or the Honors Program.

Students were invited to Visitation Day based solely on their SAT score. Admission to the Honors Program is also contingent on a 4.0 GPA as calculated by the University of Florida.
