Who Should Apply to FHP

Any prospective UF freshman can apply to the UF Honors Program as part of the University of Florida application. For more information, visit https://admissions.ufl.edu/apply/freshman/. Please note that the decision to apply (or not apply) for UF Honors has no impact on your general UF admissions decision.

UF Honors students don’t just dream, they do. They have high aspirations and expectations for themselves and their peers. They aim to take advantage of the wealth of academic opportunities available at a premiere research university. They have a variety of interests – all of which can be cultivated with the support of our award-winning honors advisors.

UF Honors helps students engage at the highest level – of the Honors Program, of the University of Florida, and of their long-term academic and career interests. If you have an interest in this level of engagement, we encourage you to apply!

2019 Admissions Decisions

All Honors decisions will be released as part of the University of Florida admissions decisions on February 8. You will be able to view your decision by clicking the Check Application Status button within the Coalition application.

There are three types of decisions that an honors applicant may see when they check their status online:

- Accepted into UF and UF Honors

Congratulations! You have been conditionally accepted as an honors student, along with your acceptance into UF. Please check here for more information about what to do next.

- Accepted into UF

Congratulations on your acceptance into UF. If your acceptance does not mention the Honors Program, unfortunately, we were not able to accept you into the program at this time. We encourage you to apply for Honors again via our lateral admissions process the summer after your first year at UF.

- Not accepted into UF

Please visit this FAQ site from the UF Office of Admissions. Unfortunately, the Honors Program is unable to advocate for students who have been denied admission into UF.
