Scholarship Awards

Phi Kappa Phi members can apply for the following fellowships, internships abroad and grants. You must pay yearly dues to remain an active member. Renew Your Membership online to enjoy Society privileges.

National Graduate Fellowships

Awards available: 60 Fellowships at $5000 each and 40 Awards of Excellence at $2000 each.

Eligibility: Must be an active member by March 1, 2007. Must have applied to enroll as a full-time student in your first year of a post-baccalaureate program of study for the 2007-2008 year.

Apply for Graduate Fellowships

Study/Internships Abroad

Awards available: 38 Grants at $1000 each.

Eligibility: Open to qualified members and non-members in all fields of study. Must be enrolled at an institution with an active Phi Kappa Phi chapter and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. You can be nominated by the UF chapter or apply independently. Must have earned a minimum of 56 semester hours of credit but not more than 90 hours on or before January 15, 2007. Must be accepted into an accredited study/internship abroad program at the time of application and provide a letter of acceptance as part of your application. Study abroad must begin no earlier than May 1, 2007 and end no later than June 20, 2008. Must have at least two semesters remaining in residence at your home institution after completing the study/internship abroad experience.

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

In addition to the National Fellowship Competition, the University of Florida Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi also awards a number of local scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students. All student awarded scholarships are considered for admission to Phi Kappa Phi. An outstanding academic record, including work at other institutions, is the most important consideration in the selection of award recipients.

Graduate Award: One award is offered in the amount of $1,000. Applicant must be a degree candidate; must have completed 16 semester hours; must have at least the equivalent of one semester of work remaining at the time the award is announced in Spring Semester 2007. Undergraduate Award: Four awards are offered in the amount of $500 each. Applicants must have completed 20 semester hours (or equivalent) at the University of Florida; must be classified as a junior or above at the time of application; must have the equivalent of one semester of course work remaining at the time the award is announced in Spring Semester 2007.
