Requirements to Complete the University Honors Program:
Earn 8 academic points*
Earn 6 enrichment points*
Graduate with Honors in the major
Complete the Final Submission Clearance assignment*
*Submitted in your Honors Cohort on Canvas
All documentation for points and the final submission clearance must be submitted by the published deadline in the student’s graduating semester. Late / incomplete submissions will not be reviewed or accepted.
Summer 2020 graduates: July 10
Fall 2020 graduates: November 6
Spring 2021 graduates: March 12
Summer 2021 graduates: July 9
Students who meet these requirements will receive a notation on their official UF transcript and a medallion to wear at commencement.
Questions about Honors Completion that are not addressed here or on Canvas should be directed to Dr. Johnson.
The Honors Program will review all honors students’ disciplinary status with the university on an annual basis, starting with the Summer 2018 entering class. This review includes students applying for the program through lateral admissions.
Any student found responsible for a Student Honor Code violation and/or issued probation or a higher sanction due to a Student Conduct Code violation will be ineligible to continue in the Honors Program. Those students will be released from the Honors Program at the end of that academic year.
