Individualized advising, coaching, and scholar development are among the most important benefits of being a member of the University of Florida Honors Program.
Our advisors support students in the exploration and development of educational and career goals while promoting responsibility in the decision-making process. We encourage students to meet with honors advisors regularly to develop a comprehensive plan for identifying and procuring academic and enrichment opportunities.
Outside of Preview orientation, students are not assigned a specific honors advisor. Students can elect to engage with honors advisors through express advising or scheduled appointments. We recommend students review the Honors Advising Syllabus before advising meetings.
Melissa, Regan, Kristy, Miranda, Meredith are dedicated professionals who will help you navigate your time at UF. We urge you to take advantage of their expertise and use their knowledge to maximize your experience at the university.
Express advising hours are available for quick meetings during the fall and spring semesters. Students are helped on a first-come, first-served basis. Express advising is intended for brief matters that can be handled in 5-10 minutes. Visit the Honors office (3rd floor of the Infirmary/Student Health Care Center) during scheduled express advising times.
Regular express hours are available after drop/add until the last day of classes. Check your Honors on Wednesday at the start of the semester (fall and spring) for express hours during the drop/add period.

Advising and Coaching Appointments
Appointments are reserved for broader conversations related to goal setting and achievement. Advising through the Honors Program does not replace advising through academic departments. Students are encouraged to visit major advisors for academic specific questions.
Current honors students may schedule an appointment by calling the honors office at (352)392-1519.
Have a quick question? Complete the form below. Please keep in mind that due to confidentiality laws we can only answer basic questions via email. We strive to answer all emails within 3 business days during the academic year. However, there may be a delay in response during peak times.
