Gatorship's mission is to build a more inclusive campus community one gator at a time by providing foundational social justice education, facilitating dialogue across difference, and providing students with resources and opportunities to become change agents within the University of Florida and beyond.
A signature program within UF Multicultural & Diversity Affairs, Gatorship is a unique leadership and diversity experience that offers weekend retreats. Weekend retreats will be held on January 12-14, January 26-28, February 9-11, and February 23-25, 2018 (you only attend one weekend). Gatorship is designed for students who want to learn how to make UF a more inclusive environment. Our expectation is that you are willing to challenge yourself by taking what you learn and applying it in meaningful ways to your life.
Every accepted Gatorship participant going on the weekend retreat is required to pay a $60.00 participation fee. This fee will include housing for two nights, meals, supplies, and a t-shirt. **The Honors Program will sponsor any UF Honors student in good standing if accepted** Participation in the weekend retreat also counts as 1 enrichment point towards Honors Completion requirements.
The application is due October 20: https://multicultural.ufl.edu/programs/gatorship/
