Honors Program Application for Admission

The application for the Honors Program will be available starting after noon on February 15 through 11:59pm EST on March 1, 2016. Please note that we do not accept late applications for any reason. We highly recommend that students submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid any technical difficulties.

Students will log into the Honors application using their Gatorlink username and password. This is the login information students used to check their admissions status to UF. If you need help with your Gatorlink, please contact the UF Help Desk. When you are asked for your UF email address in the application, it is simply your Gatorlink username @ ufl.edu.

We strongly recommend that applicants review our admissions information prior to starting their application. This includes our program philosophy, admissions criteria, and tips for success on the application.

Application Components:

Applicants will respond to three essay questions:
  • Essay 1: A longer essay prompt that is required of all applicants.
  • Essay 2: A creative essay question. Applicants will choose one from three possible prompts, as developed by current Honors students.
  • Essay 3: An involvement essay question that is required of all applicants.

You may save your work and exit if you wish, but once you have clicked the final SUBMIT button you will no longer be able to edit your application. Note, the application works best in Chrome or Safari.

Timeline:

Honors admissions decisions will be announced by UF email by April 1. If you haven't done so already, we highly recommend setting up your email early, as we are not able to release admissions decisions to non-UF email addresses or over the phone. We recommend keeping an eye on the UF Honors website or on our Facebook or Twitter feeds for important announcements.

If accepted into the Honors Program, students will be required to confirm their intent to participate by May 1. This confirmation includes the $60 membership dues for the Student Honors Organization.

** Note: If you get an error message when trying to log into the application, the UF Help Desk recommends clearing your cache and cookies and restarting your web browser. That should solve the problem so you can proceed with your application.**

The application is now closed.
